X - Model United Nations India is a three-day international relations simulation held annually in Hyderabad, India. At XMUN India, delegates gain a sneak peak into the workings of the United Nations and the insight of international relations by playing the roles of assigned UN representatives and members of other international bodies.
The theme for XMUN 2.0 - 'Never settle for less. Question. Debate. Receive.'
X is the letter used in many ways. Few people use it for pointing out something, some use it for voting purpose on a ballot paper and other ways. X is also used to multiply. Through XMUN we are aiming at multiplying the talent one has, by creating a platform for them to showcase in various way.
We choose to use it, as a cross to point out something extraordinary (like treasure) that will stand out from the basic. We at XMUN want to stand out and being pointed at as an example set for the later legacies which will come up.
We believe in team and hard work but our priority is delivering a quality conference, so we follow the path of smart work by pulling in resources and making a rough layout of our plan before execution.
XMUN 2.0 is an exciting opportunity for students to debate issues that confront world leaders and to draft resolutions in response to these global issues. Participants will develop their abilities to work with others who are equally motivated and passionate about the topics of debate and to respond to global concerns.
XMUN inaugural edition:
XMUN 2.0 builds upon 2 years of hard work and experienced secretariat members. In 2016, XMUN held its first annual Model United Nations Simulation.
The secretariat was a variety of talented people who had their talents specified in varied fields of expertise. It took 5 months to formulate a team and to help each other adapt and co-exist so that efficiency is at it's finest.
XMUN inaugural edition had 5 committees having a heat of debate on issues of global importance. The theme of our conference for the first edition - Diplomacy is not a spectator sport.
It was held at Novotel HICC, Hitec City from April 15th to 17th, 2016. The three day conference had also featured Siddharth Bendi and Akanksha Bajaj during the opening ceremony as to perform their music part and Sathvika Tummalapalli for their closing ceremony.
The three experience ended with a box full of memories being shipped to everyone's home with them.
